Girl Scout Saving the Planet, One Straw at A Time

As a part of her Gold Award for the Girl Scouts, Shelby O’Neil was searching for a simple behavior that, once changed, could have a massive impact on our planet. She launched the “No Straw November” campaign in late 2017, which she presented to both the California Coastal Commission and spoke to commissioners at a meeting in Cambria, CA.
